Painting With Sugar

Painting With Sugar is a licensed home-based bakery located in the snowy White Mountains of New Hampshire. My name is Sarah Lamoureux, the owner, head baker and mom of two girls. The trajectory of my working life took a hard right turn after having my 1st baby, leading me away from my corporate career of nearly a decade and back into the creative world I had always wanted to be in. I have a BA in Fine Arts and Art History, a lifetime of experience in the kitchen and now have the pleasure of uniting both passions to create art that is as delicious as it is beautiful.

When I started Painting With Sugar in 2017, I had a freshly one year old and was starting my journey as an entrepreneur in the wee hours of the morning and naptimes. We only had one thing on the menu, French macarons, which I started sharing with our local community through our Farmer’s Market. My time there was a great experience, but with the birth of my second child I started to look for more creative freedom and more flexibility with my time. Since then we have expanded our menu to include custom cakes, decorated cookies and more... and of course the pretty little macaron is still a staple. We have shifted completely to custom ordering and while we no longer have a physical presence, we stay connected to the community, sourcing ingredients locally whenever possible. I have a special place in my heart for weddings and absolutely love working with our clients to bring their unique vision to life. We are a very small business, which allows me to offer each of my clients a one-to-one experience and pull out all the stops artistically to bring any dream you can imagine to life.
